Coastline E-Newsletter Summer 2012 Issue

Welcome! The decision to seek higher education is based on an individual set of needs and goals. During the first half of 2012, some of our new enrollees included active duty military, veterans, law enforcement personnel, business men and women, civil servants, retirees, stay at home moms and dads, and professionals working in the education, psychology and healthcare fields. To meet the demands of our dynamic student body, we at California Coast University must offer programs that are useful, flexible and affordable to our students. We do this through on-going research and by monitoring developments in the distance education field.

In April, we attended the 86th annual Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) conference in Maui, Hawaii. The conference offered the opportunity to share ideas and best practices, and to see professional colleagues and friends. In June, we attended the Police Security Expo in Atlantic City. With over 7,000 law enforcement professionals in attendance, the Expo showcases the latest equipment, products, and services in the field, and truly is “The Industry Supershow.”
