Letter from the President

By CCU Staff

Happy New Year and welcome to Coastline, California Coast University's online newsfeed. This feature is designed to share information and keep students, alumni, and others up-to-date on CCU and online learning in general.

Since our founding in 1973, California Coast University has been a pioneer in adult learning with a mission to meet the academic needs of adults seeking to complete their education without returning to a traditional classroom or night school. Long before anyone had ever heard of a PDF file, email, or online learning, CCU students completed courses with pen and paper, via USPS, telephone, and sometimes in person. Much has changed since then.

With instant communication circling the globe, the delivery of education has evolved and will continue to evolve with lightning speed. This exponential growth challenges educational institutions to grow and meet the needs of the modern learner in innovative and creative ways. Looking ahead, 2016 looks to be a year filled with opportunities and change. California Coast University is happy to draw on our experience as we look forward to our role in shaping higher education and helping our students achieve their academic goals.

Please visit our website and check back for regular updates and information on alumni, students, and the changing face of higher education. We would like to hear from you too. To share some of your educational journey, please email our Coastline editor at [email protected] for a profile form. We look forward to featuring you in a future news post.

Sincerely,

Thomas M. Neal
