Why Choose California Coast University?

Picture of Why Choose California Coast University?

Did you know that about 23.5% of adults over the age of 25 have their bachelor's degrees as their highest level of education? 14.4% have advanced degrees. Are you considering becoming part of that statistic?

Going to college can be daunting. Whether you want an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree, or a graduate degree, you may feel overwhelmed. Do you really have the time and energy to go back to school when your life is so busy already?

At California Coast University, we make it simple to go back to school. If you feel like you don't have the time or money to advance your career, we want to change your mind.

Read on to learn all about the benefits of choosing California Coast University.

Self-Paced Programs

For many people who have been participating in the "working world" for at least a few years after completing high school or even an undergraduate degree, the idea of going back to school may be scary. This isn't because they don't feel capable of learning new things or because they're unmotivated. It's because they have to continue working to support themselves, their families, and their educational pursuits.

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to take time away from work in order to pursue a new degree or certificate, but unfortunately, the people who can benefit most from advancing their education are often the people who don't think they have the time to do so. They have families to care for and full-time jobs to attend to.

At California Coast University, this isn't a problem.

All of the California Coast University programs are self-paced. That means that the classes work with your schedule. You don't have to move around your work schedule, find babysitters, or otherwise make unreasonable modifications to your life to get a great education.

There are no set meeting times or deadlines. As long as you finish the course and submit all of your work, you will complete your studies. Of course, grades still matter, but you'll have time to get the grades you know you deserve when you're able to study and work hard instead of having to rush.

This also means that you can start at any time during the school year. Not everyone is able to start classes at the beginning of September and finish in June. Life gets in the way!

Most degrees can be finished in as few as 9 months up to 5 years. Doctoral degrees take a minimum of 3 years but students can take up to 10 years!

Online-Only Classes from the Start

During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools around the world scrambled to find a way to continue teaching students despite safety restrictions. Kindergarteners and college students alike were suddenly thrown into online classrooms and teachers had to find new ways to turn their "real-life" curriculums into "online-friendly" classes.

Now, many schools have decided to keep at least some online coursework to allow more flexibility and reach more students, but they're still in the early stages of digital education. This isn't the case for California Coast University.

California Coast University programs have always been remote. Students have always been able to learn from wherever they were, regardless of whether they were in California or states away. The educators at California Coast understand the intricacies of remote education because they've been doing it from the start.

This means that there's no learning curve for students or teachers (aside from the learning curve that comes naturally when taking new classes). The classes you take at California Coast University were always meant to be for remote learners.

Professors have spent years working on and refining curriculums that can suit learners in alternative environments. This makes the learning process far easier for students (and the educating process far easier for staff).

Passionate Staff

Speaking of the staff, the team at California Coast University is comprised of experienced education professionals.

Many people falsely believe that professors at online universities like California Coast University must be second-rate, or that they're "unable" to work on conventional campuses.

This couldn't be further from the truth.

As a matter of fact, some of the staff members at California Coast University also work at other recognized colleges and universities. You're being taught by someone who is teaching the same information (albeit in different ways) to students in other programs.

The quality of an educator has nothing to do with where they work and everything to do with the knowledge and experience that they bring to the table. The team at California Coast is full of researchers, former (or current) K-12 teachers, writers, and more. They're all excited to help you reach your goals through the power of education.

When you're taking classes, you're free to reach out to your student success advisor at any time to make sure you're on the right track.

Affordability

Affordability is often the largest draw for new students starting their studies at California Coast University. It's no secret that furthering your education in the United States can be expensive and for many people, cost-prohibitive. This becomes even more true if you're unable to work while you're in school due to a conventional schedule.

As we mentioned before, the flexibility of California Cost University means you're able to continue working while you learn, which already lessens your financial burden. As long as students complete one course every six months, they can stay in good standing.

We believe that everyone deserves an affordable education, so we do our best to keep our costs low. At the time this is being published, Associate's and Bachelor's credits are only $170 each.

Tuition rates are locked in. Even if tuition goes up the year after you start studying, you get the same low price for the entirety of your education as long as you remain in good standing.

California Coast offers interest-free payment plans to make college even more accessible. Don't fall for predatory student loans. For as low as $150-$175 per month (depending on the plan), you can get an education.

Some people are even eligible for tuition discounts. If you're in need, ask a representative to see if you qualify.

Disclaimer: *Tuition discount applies to law enforcement, firefighters, military, and government employees, and corporate partners enrolling after Jan. 2023. Offer is not retroactive for students already enrolled. Discount is subject to change and/or cancellation at any time without notice. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount(s).

A Wide Selection of Potential Programs

At California Coast University, you have options. There are many career-focused programs that can help you take your life to the next level.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? Whether you want to advance in your current career path or start a new one altogether, California Coast University can help you on your journey.

There are so many different programs available, and you can even use your pre-existing professional training to gain credits in relevant programs. Talk to a representative to learn all about that option.

You can get an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree, or even doctoral degree (in this case, an EdD) at California Coast University. That's right, you can finish your doctorate from home. Advance your education and potentially increase your future income with all of the flexibility of online classes.

If you're not currently in the market for a new degree, you have other options. Not everyone needs a college degree, but certificates can also help you move forward in life.

For example, a "fundamentals of marketing" course is helpful for a wide range of people. Whether you're trying to market yourself and build your personal brand, you currently work in the marketing sphere, and you're ready to learn new skills and hopefully get that coveted promotion, or you want to learn how to market your own business, it can teach you what you need to know to grow.

This accredited remote learning university can open your world up in so many ways. Advance your career with a variety of degrees and certifications without having to take time off.

If you've been looking for an opportunity to advance, this is it.
