October 13 - 19, 2019 is Healthcare Security and Safety Week. Sponsored by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety. The theme recognizes the importance of security and safety in healthcare and acknowledges the strong commitment, diligence and care officers display in their practice and profession.

Show your support and appreciation for Healthcare Security and Safety Officers by considering the following options:

Celebrate With Gifts

Gifts given to security officers will show your appreciation for all they do.

Gift of Wellness—Work with your hospital’s rehabilitation department to offer massages or exercise sessions for security officers.

Gift of Education—Partner with a university to offer your security officers, members, and employees a discount on starting or continuing their college education. California Coast University’s Educational Partnership Program offers a 10% tuition discount for all members and employees. Degrees are offered in Healthcare Administration, Criminal Justice and more. All degrees are accredited, 100% online and designed for the working professional. Plus, there is no cost to partner!

Gift Baskets—Provide a gift basket filled with Healthcare Security and Safety Week items to each shift in the emergency department at all the hospitals in your region.

Gift Certificates—Send hand-signed cards in honor of Healthcare Security and Safety Week with gift certificates to the security department shift managers.

Snacks and Posters—Take healthy snacks and Healthcare Security and Safety Week posters to area hospitals.
