Faculty and staff have been traveling during the past months attending a variety of conferences, networking functions, and participating in charity events. These various events give us an opportunity to meet professionals and learn more about the fields our educational programs support and to give back to worthwhile charities.

Oct. 12 – 14 Express Jet Networking Event & Golf Tournament,
Atlanta, GA

California Coast University is proud to have a corporate partnership with Express Jet, and to be a sponsor for this worthwhile charity event. The tournament raises funds for Express Jet’s WINGS (When In Need Get Support) employee emergency assistance fund and the Employee Scholarship Fund.

Oct. 16 – 18 – Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) Fall Workshop, Seattle, WA

Oct. 27 - 28 - Los Angeles County Chicano Employees Association Conference (LACCEA), Tehachapi, CA

From their website, “LACCEA has over 2,200 members consisting of Deputy Sheriffs, Firefighters, Probation Officers, Eligibility Workers, Children Services Workers, Doctors, Animal Control Officers, Administrative Staff, and many other hard working men and women employed with Los Angeles County. LACCEA's primary goals are to provide quality representation for our members in terms of working conditions and promotional opportunities, to advocate for legislation on issues that benefit the Latino community, and give back to the communities that we serve.” – LACCEA website

Nov. 4 – Women in Business Breakfast, Costa Mesa, CA

Nov. 17-19 - PORAC - The Peace Officers Research Association of California

PORAC was incorporated in 1953 as a professional federation of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. PORAC represents over 69,000 public safety members and over 920 associations, making it the largest law enforcement organization in California and the largest statewide association in the nation.

Nov. 18 – 19 - CNOA - The California Narcotic Officers' AssociationCNOA Logo

CNOA is a non-profit, corporation dedicated to providing high quality training for law enforcement professionals. Since 1964, CNOA has grown to become the largest non-profit Training Association in California, with over 7,000 members. Dec. 1 – Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon

Dec. 16 – Spark of Love 2017 Toy Drive at the Honda Center

ABC7 and the Southern California Firefighters, along with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s “Toys for Tots” program, celebrate the 24th annual “Spark of Love Toy Drive.” The campaign collects toys and sports equipment and distributes them throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties to participating children and teens. California Coast University is proud to participate in this worthy cause.
