Our development team has been hard at work adding new features and improvements to CCU's student portal, Coast Connection. Learn a bit about what has changed, who it affects, and what to expect.

Previous Updates to Coast Connection

We want to start off by highlighting a couple of features we “soft-launched” over the last year, like the ability to sign-up for paperless tuition statements and adding randomized exam questions to newer course revisions. We hope you have all helped CCU to “go green” and signed up for your paperless statements under the My Account tab, Tuition Statement.

Newer Live Updates

Over the last year, we also worked on some improvements to the flow, appearance, and functionality of a couple of core sections of the portal.

Academic Plan Page

We have given this page a nice overhaul by adding new tabs for the courses in your degree plan separated by: Active Courses, Remaining Courses, Completed & Transferred Courses, and All Courses. This change makes it easier for students to navigate all their courses. We have also added course descriptions that are expandable in each tab (depends on course revision date.)

Course Changes

We have changed the way our newly revised courses are displayed. Our hope is that the new design will help students gain easier access to the tools and resources they need. We will continue to expand the course features in the coming months.

Additional Changes and Future Updates

We have made some updates to other sections as well, but we will leave those up to you to explore! Student success is our #1 priority. Looking to the future, some of the current changes to the student portal were also designed to facilitate the frame work for an updated system for our student services and student success team to better serve your educational goals and success. Stay tuned for updates on the progress!
