EDU 507 CULTURAL ISSUES IN EDUCATION > 3 Semester Units This course reviews the way individuals in institutional roles operationalize culturally democratic policies and practices, and examines how political forces influence culturally democratic programs and culturally relevant curriculum development and implementation. EDU 510 MODELS OF TEACHING > 3 Semester Units This course explores a variety of teaching models and curriculum theories. Application of theories to classroom utilization is emphasized. Emphasis on areas of school law that are most likely to be used by school administrators GRM 697 THE RESEARCH PROCESS > 3 Semester Units A required course for all Graduate Students even if the student does not plan to utilize the Thesis option. This course assists students in utilization of their natural curiosity in selection of a topic for research. Provides guidance in planning research strategy, documentation of research data, and design of a defensible study. Also explores and analyzes examples of research from many different disciplines, development and use of computer-aided research and writing skills, and logical argumentation techniques in stating and defending research data. |
