M.Ed. - Master of Education - Curriculum and Instruction

California Coast University's School of Education offers a Master of Education (M.Ed.) Degree Program in Curriculum and Instruction.

The Master of Education Degree Program in Curriculum and Instruction is a self-paced learning program which may be completed totally off-campus. As our learning programs are not structured by semesters, quarters or terms, students may begin their degree programs at any time during the year.

The M.Ed. Program consists of six Core Courses and three Specialization Courses.

  • Cultural Issues in Education
  • Models of Teaching
  • Supervision of Instruction
  • Career Development
  • The Research Process

Specialization Courses for Curriculum and Instruction Majors

  • Psychology Applied to Teaching
  • Strategic Issues Management
  • Curriculum Design and Evaluation

After completing the core courses and the specialization courses, students are provided the option of completing a Master's Thesis or 3 additional graduate level education courses.
