Textbooks are available from a number of different sources. A student may obtain a textbook required for one of their courses in his or her local area. All textbooks may be rented from California Coast University's Rental Library at a nominal cost. The CCU Alumni Association maintains a library of the textbooks required for the current version of all courses.
Students can purchase textbooks on their own from various online sources. The library maintains a list of recommended websites.
The rental fee for 90 days is currently $25.00 per text. A refundable deposit of $50.00 is required for each book you rent.

Books should be returned within 90 days from the date the library ships them to you. If you want to keep a book longer than the rental period, you will need to contact the library before the due date. You may request one 30-day extension per book at no charge. If you need to keep a book beyond the 30-day extension, you will need to rent the book again for another 90 days.
It is your responsibility to return your books to us in good condition and within the required time frame. We require that you return your books using UPS or Certified Mail so that your shipment is insured and traceable. CCU is not responsible for lost books.

When you have returned all your textbooks in good condition by their due dates, send the library a written request for the return of your book deposit. The library will issue a refund check and mail it directly to you.
