This application is to be used when applying for admission. California Coast University has an open admission policy for qualified applicants. You may apply and complete the admission process at any time. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Application: Complete all items on the printed Application for Admission form and return it to our offices at 700 N. Main St., Santa Ana, CA 92701
Application Fee: Submitting an application requires a $75.00 non-refundable application fee. This fee must be charged to a major credit card. Although the University uses a secure internet connection, Applicants who prefer not to submit credit card information via the internet, should download and print the application form or contact the admissions Office directly at 1-888-CCU-UNIV.
Resume: Include a professional resume or job history highlighting your responsibilities or accomplishments for each position held. Please include any volunteer or academic experience and/or additional information that is relevant to your application. You may email supporting documents to admissions@calcoast.edu.
Official Transcripts: Request official transcripts from all college level work completed since graduating high school including credits completed at all Colleges and Universities, and any credits completed by examination (CLEP, DSST, AP, etc.). You may submit personal copies for evaluation purposes. Official copies must be received directly from the issuing College, University or program prior to official enrollment. You may download this Transcript Request form.
If the highest level of education achieved is a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, the applicant is required to mark the “Attestation” check box. This will indicate to the Admissions Advisor that an Attestation Form needs to be sent to the Applicant.
Undergraduate Students Only: Specialized training programs, which students may have completed through their company, organization, military training experiences, professional, personal licensure requirements or other documented training experiences may be eligible for elective credit. Include copies of certificates of completion with your application. Be sure to list the hours the course or training took to complete.
Doctoral Students Only: Include a personal statement explaining your professional and personal goals as they relate to the Doctoral Program you are interested in. Describe how obtaining your degree will enhance your career and/or life plans. You may also want to include what you expect to gain through this program. Please limit your response to no more than 750 words.
Tuition: Your tuition will depend on the total number of units needed after all units are transferred and/or awarded for life and work experience.
Supplemental Information: You will be contacted by our Admissions Department upon receipt of your application and advised of any additional or supplemental information that may be beneficial to your evaluation. After the evaluation is completed, you will receive a copy of your coursework matrix showing exactly which remaining courses are required to completing your degree program via email, and an Admissions Representative will call you. Your application file and transfer evaluation materials will be held open for 30 days. If you do not complete the enrollment process within that period, you will be subject to an additional non-refundable $75.00 application fee.
